Aloo bukhara or plum chutney

Aloo bukhara chutney is a sweet and tangy chutney. I got the recipe of this chutney from my aunt . She used to make it everytime when we visits her home.

Ingredients:

Aloo bukhara: 7-8

Jaggery or gur: 1/2 cup

Salt: 2 tsp

Red chilli powder: 1/2 tsp

Cumin powder or jeera powder: 1 tsp

Dates or Khajur: 5-6 desseded and thinly sliced

Method:

1.Make puree of aloo bukhara by adding them in 1/4 cup boiling water. Let them boil for 2 minutes. When they gets cool mash them and remove the seeds. Mix them in a grinder to form a puree.

2. Heat a thick bottom pan and add puree. When a boil comes add gur, salt, red chilli powder, jeera powder and simmer on medium flame till it gets thick.(for about 7-8 minutes)

3. Add sliced dates and cook for another 2 minutes.

4.Switch off the flame, cool it, and store it in glass jar
