Onion rings

Onion rings are form of snack or side dish. They are dipped in refined flour batter and then deep fried.

Ingredients:

Onions: 2

Salt: to taste

Baking powder; 1/4 tsp

Refined flour or maida: 1 cup

Cornflour: 1 tsp

Black pepper powder: 1/4 tsp

Oil : to deep fry+2 tbsp for batter

Method:

1. Cut onions into rings and put it into bowl full of cold water.

2. Sieve together maida, cornflour, baking powder. Add salt and black pepper powder and mix. Add 2 tbsp oil and water to make a thick batter.

3.Heat oil in a kadai. Dip onion rings in batter and deep fry till golden brown. Place on absorbent paper so that excess oil can be removed.

4. Serve hot with tomamto ketchup.
