Rava onion tomato uttapam

Instant sooji uttapam mixed with tomato, onion, green capsicum. Me and my mom loves these onion utappams  with hot sambar.

Servings: Makes 4-5 utappams

Ingredients:

Sooji or rava: 1 cup

Onions: 2 chopped

Tomato: 2  chopped

Green capsicum: 1 chopped

Salt: to taste

Red chilli powder: 1/2 tsp

Yogurt or dahi: 1/2 cup

Mustard seeds or rai: 12 tsp

Green chilli: 1 chopped

Fresh coriander leaves: 2 tsp

Oil: to cook utappam

Method:

1. Add rava along with all ingredients except oil. Add water to form a smooth batter. Keep it aside to ferment for  30- 40 minutes.

2. Heat a non-stick tawa and pour 1 tsp oil on it. Add ladle full of rava mix on it and spread it in circular way to make utappam.

3.Spread oil on sides and cook both sides till golden brown in colour.

4. Enjoy with sambar and coconut chutney.
