Subway aloo tikki sandwich

Healthy sandwich just like subway sandwich with lots of veggies and aloo tikki in it. I like this homemade sandwich as all vegetables in it are fresh.

Subway aloo tikki sandwich

Ingredients:

For aloo tikki:

Potatoes: 2 boiled

Carrot: 1 grated

Onion: 1 chopped

Green chili: 1 chopped

Corn kernels: 1/4 cup boiled and mashed

Salt: to taste

Red chili flakes: 1/4 tsp

Black pepper: 1/4 tsp

Coriander: 1 tbsp chopped

Oil: for shallow fry

Other ingredients:

Capsicum (red, green, yellow): 1/2 cup thinly sliced

Onions: 1 thinly sliced

Lettuce leaves : a few chopped

Olive: 10-12

Tomato: 2 thinly sliced

Cheese slices: 4-5

Cucumber: 1 thinly sliced

Tomato sauce: 2 tbsp

Mustard sauce: 2 tbsp

Mayonnaise: 2 tbsp

Barbecue sauce: 2 tbsp

Chili sauce: 2 tbsp

Multigrain bread : 4

Method: 

For aloo tikki:

1. Mix all ingredients of aloo tiki then shape them in form of tiki or cutlets.

2. Heat a non stick tawa and put little oil on it. Place tikkis and cook them till they become golden brown from both sides.

3. Now for assembling sandwich take bread and keep it in microwave for 30-40 seconds to make them warm and soft.

4. Make a slit from one side.  Put tikki on it.

5.  Then put lettuce leaves, then onion rings, then cucumber and capsicum rings. Put tomato slices and olives.

6. Pour all sauces given above or any sauce of your choice  followed by cheese slice.

7. Place other layer of bread on it and press gently. Enjoy  this subway like sandwich at home.
