Tawa Pulao

Tawa pualo is popular Indian street food especially in Maharashtra.They are called Tava pulao because they are made on same tava on which pav bhaji is made.It is made of boiled rice with various vegetables of your choice with pav bhaji masala and lemon juice.I used Carrots,peas,onions,green capsicum,yellow capsium,red capsicum,tomatoes,beans.Here’s the recipe.

Ingredients:

Cooked rice:2 cups.

Peas :1/2 cup

Carrots:boiled and diced 1/2 cup

Capsicum(green,yellow,red):1 cup chopped

Beans:1/4 cup chopped

Onions:1 chopped

Tomatoes:2-3 chopped

Ginger:1tsp grated

Cumin seeds:1/4tsp

Salt:to taste

Red chilli powder:1/4 tsp

Jeera powder:1/4tsp

Pav bhaji masala:3tsp

Lemon juice:2tsp

Turmeric powder:1/4tsp

Coriander:for garnish

Oil or butter:2tsp

Method:

1.Heat oil in a kadai.Add cumin seeds.When they starts to crackle add onions,ginger.Saute for 2 minutes.

2.Add tomatoes,capsicum ,boiled peas and carrots,beans.Mix it well and saute for another 3-4 minutes or oil starts to leave.

3.Add salt ,turmeric powder,red chilli powder,pav bhaji masala,jeera powder.Mix them well.It will give a nice aroma.

4.Add cooked rice and mixed lightly .

5.Finally add lemon juice and garnish with coriander leaves.

6.Tawa pulao is ready to serve.
