Prep Time: 20 mins | Cook Time: 30 mins | Servings: 4

Ingredients:

250 gm paneer (Indian cheese), cut into small cubes
1 cup fresh matar (peas)
2 medium onions, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
Salt, to taste
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup heavy cream
Fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they are translucent and slightly caramelized (about 5 minutes). Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
2. Add the ginger paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, and salt to the pan. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the spices are fragrant.
3. Add the fresh matar (peas) to the pan and stir well. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until they are tender but still crisp.
4. In a separate pan, melt the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the paneer cubes and cook until they are lightly browned on all sides (about 5-7 minutes).
5. Remove the paneer from the pan and set it aside. In the same pan, add the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
6. Gradually whisk in the flour to avoid lumps. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly.
7. Add the cooked matar (peas) and paneer cubes to the creamy sauce. Stir well to combine.
8. Simmer the mixture over low heat for about 5-10 minutes, or until the flavors have melded together and the sauce has thickened to your liking.

Pro Cooking Tips:

To get the perfect creamy texture, make sure to whisk in the flour gradually and cook the sauce patiently.
For an extra rich flavor, add a splash of heavy cream just before serving.
