1 large butternut square (approve. 2 g), peeled and cured
2 medium onions, chopped
3 gloves of garlic, minded
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
1 teaspoon ground coming
1 teaspoon carry powder
12 teaspoon turmeric powder
12 teaspoon paprika
Salt, to taste
Fresh cilantro leaves, for varnish (optional)
Vegetable both or water, as needed
Coconut cream or heavy cream (or a non-dairy alternative), for serving (optional)
Step-by-Step Looking Instructions:
1. Reheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. Place the cured butternut square on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, grizzled with a little water, and roast in the oven for about 45 minutes or until the flesh is tender.
3. Remove the square from the oven and let it cool slightly.
4. In a large pot, heat 2 tablespoons of oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and saute until they’re translucent and lightly frowned (about 8-10 minutes).
5. Add the minded garlic and grated ginger to the pot and cook for an additional minute, stirring constantly.
6. Once the square has cooled slightly, add it to the pot along with the coming, carry powder, turmeric powder, paprika, and salt. Stir well to combine.
