Bored of aloo paratha, mooli paratha, gobhi paratha . For a change in breakfast menu here i have a yummy dal paratha for you . So try this chana dal paratha .
Servings:6 parathas
Ingredients:
Chana dal: 1 cup
Onions:1 chopped
Salt: to taste
Black pepper: 1/4 tsp
Green chilli: 1 chopped
Ajwain:1 /4 tsp
Red chilli powder: 1/4 tsp
Oil: 2 tsp
Ghee: for frying parathas
Wheat flour dough: 1 cup
Method:
1.Soak chana dal for 6-7 hours. Rinse and grind it to a grainy mixture. Don’t grind it to a fine paste.
2.Now add 2 tsp of oil in a kadai. Add chopped onions and saute for one minute. Now add dal mixture and all spices and saute for 3-4 minutes.
3.Now divide dough into equal ballls. Take one ball and roll into diameter of 3 inches.
4.Put dal stuffing in the centre and seal all edges. Roll it into diameter of 7-8 inches.
5.Heat a tawa and place this stuffed dal paratha on tawa. Apply ghee and cook till both sides become golden brown and crispy.
6.Serve hot with dahi.
