I had first tasted chilli paneer at my aunt’s place. She ordered it from a resturant nearby and i loved it a lot. I am a big fan of paneer and love to have it different ways. So i tried this chilli paneer recipe at home and result was delicious yummy chilli paneer. Enjoy this Indo-Chinese chili paneer recipe with fried rice.

Ingredients:
For frying paneer
Paneer: 250 gm
Salt: 1/2 tsp
Cornflour: 1 tbsp
Maida: 2tbsp
Oil: for deep frying
For gravy:
Capsicum:2
Spring onions: 2
Onions: 2
Red chilli sauce: 2 tbsp
Salt: to taste
Tomato: 1 chopped
Black pepper powder: 1/2 tsp
Green chili: 1
Garlic: 1 tbsp finely chopped
Ginger: 1 tbsp finely chopped
Soya sauce: 1/2 tbsp
Cornflour: 1 tbsp
Oil: 2 tbsp
Method:
For frying paneer:
1. Mix together cornflour, maida, salt by adding little water. Dip paneer cubes in it.
2. Heat oil in a pan. Put maida coated paneer cubes in it. Fry them. Don’t make it brown.
For gravy:
3. Chop onions, capsicum, tomatoes to cubes. Chop spring onions, green chilli also.
4. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan. Add ginger, garlic and saute.
5. Add chopped onions, spring onions, capsicum, and saute for a minute. Add chopped tomatoes and cook. Add soya sauce, black pepper powder, red chilli sauce and mix well.
6. Add water, salt and let it simmer for a minute. Mix cornflour with 2 tbsp of water and put it in gravy. Add fried paneer cubes and let it cook for a minute or two.
7. Garnish with spring onion greens and enjoy with fried rice.
