Golden fried baby corn is a tasty evening snack with you can have with a cup of tea. Baby corn coated with garlic and ginger paste then dipped in gram flour batter and then deep fried. They will give you a crispy touch as i am adding cornflour to besan mixture. So enjoy your tea time with this tasty crispy baby corns.
Servings: 3-4 people
Ingredients:
Baby corn : 250 gm
Oil: for deep frying
Garlic- ginger paste: 2 tbsp
Salt: to taste
Red chilli powder: 1/4 tsp
Garam masala: 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder or haldi powder: 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder: 1/2 tsp
For besan batter:
Besan: 3 tbsp
Corn flour: 3 tbsp
Salt: to taste
Red chilli powder: 1/4 tsp
Garam masala: 1/4 tsp
Haldi powder: 1/4 tsp
Method:
1. Make besan batter by adding all spices to besan. Add water and form a thick paste. Keep it aside for 15 minutes.
2. Boil 2 cup water in a pan by adding 1/4 tsp salt. Add baby corns and let them boil for 3-4 minutes. Drain water. Add cold water to it and drain again.
3. Take ginger-garlic paste in a bowl. Add salt, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, haldi powder and mix. Coat baby corns with this mixture and keep it aside for 15 minutes.
4. Heat oil in a kadai. Dip ginger-garlic paste coated babycorn in besan batter one by one and deep fry them in hot oil till crispy and golden brown.
5. Serve hot with ketchup.
