Poha

Poha is easy and healthy breakfast recipe. It is made by adding onions, tomatoes, and potatoes to  flattened rice. It is light snack or a breakfast recipe.

Ingredients:

Flattened rice or poha: 1 cup

Onions:1 chopped

Tomatoes: 1 chopped

Potatoes: 1 chopped

Green chilli: 1 chopped

Coriander: 2 tbsp

Mustard seeds: 1 tbsp

Curry leaves or kadi patta: 5-6

Salt: to taste

Sugar: 1 tbsp

Lime juice: 1 tbsp

Red chilli powder: 1/2 tsp

Turmeric powder or haldi: 1/4 tsp

Roasted peanuts or mungfali: 1 tbsp

Oil: 2 tbsp

Method:

1.Rinse the poha in clean water. Make sure to not rinse much or they get soggy.

2.Add  salt and haldi powder to poha and mix.

3.Heat oil in kadai. Add mustard seeds and curry leaves .When they start to crackle add onions, potato,  and cook them till potatoes become soft. Add sugar, tomatoes and red chilli powder.

4.Add mungfali, green chilli and mix well.

5. Put poha , lemon juice and mix well and cook for 2 minutes.

6.Put poha in the plate. Add coriander and serve hot.
