Bhindi is favorite dish of my family.Today i tried to make in a new form:in Hyderabadi style with grated coconut in it.
Bhindi :250 gm
Red chilli powder:1/4tsp
Oil for deep frying
Grated fresh coconut:3tsp
Garam masala:1/4 tsp
Saunf or fennel seeds:1tsp
Sesame seeds or til :1/2 tsp
1.Blend all masala ingredients and make a powder.
2.Trim the ends of bhindi and cut them lengthwise into 2 pieces.Fry bhindis in kadai or a pan and keep them aside.
3.Take another pan,add 2tsp of oil in it.
4. Add cumin seeds,when they start to crackle add chopped onions and tomatoes.When tomatoes and onions starts leaving oil add salt ,red chilli powder,turmeric powder,garam masala.
5.Now add grated coconut , tamarind pulp and mix it well.Add ground masala which we had prepared in Step 1.
6.Add fried bhindi and mix it for 2 more minutes.
7.Garnish with little more grated coconut and serve.
